Giving back to the community is deeply woven into who we are, and our Q3 Building a Difference event was one of our most meaningful projects yet. Our team contributed 60 volunteer hours to perform vital repairs and preventative maintenance at Be Brave Ranch, home to Little Warriors—an organization dedicated to the prevention, awareness, and treatment of child sexual abuse.
This project held special significance for us. We returned to Parkwood House, a bungalow our team originally built on the Be Brave Ranch property nearly 20 years ago. Returning two decades later to refresh, repair, and protect this home was a full-circle moment for everyone involved.

Restoring & Protecting Parkwood House
Over time, even the sturdiest structures require maintenance. Our goal was not only to handle immediate structural and interior repairs, but also to add essential perimeter protection against severe weather and potential environmental hazards like grass fires.
Key improvements made during the initiative included:
- Fire-Resistant Perimeter Landscaping: To safeguard the bungalow against potential grass fires, excess material was hauled away, the ground was re-graded, and fresh landscaping edging, protective fabric, and rock were installed around the entire perimeter. Replacing combustible ground cover with stone creates a vital buffer zone to protect the home.
- Siding & Soffit Refreshes: Lower exterior siding sections were removed to allow access for structural work, minor soffit fixes were completed, and the siding was cleanly reinstalled once repairs were wrapped up.
- Foundation & Structural Sealing: Foundation cracks were fully exposed, expertly sealed, and tight foundation-to-wood and mudsill sealing was applied to secure the envelope of the home.
- Interior Drywall Renewal: Interior drywall was carefully removed to expose the foundation for sealing, followed by full drywall re-installation, mudding, and taping to restore the living space.

Stronger Together: Thank You to Our Partners
A project like this is only possible with a strong community behind it. We extend our sincerest gratitude to our industry partners who generously contributed their time, expertise, and resources alongside our team:
- Domestic Exteriors for their siding removal, soffit repairs, and reinstall.
- Lenbeth for their foundation crack sealing expertise.
- Core Elevation for handling the grading, material haul-out, and fire-prevention landscaping installation.
To the team at Little Warriors and Be Brave Ranch: thank you for the incredible, life-changing work you do every day for children and families. We are honored to support your mission and ensure Parkwood House continues to offer a safe, warm, and secure environment for years to come.
