Site Supervisor

If you’re the kind of Site Supervisor who hates rework more than early mornings, can keep trades moving efficiently, and cares about the details because you know that’s what customers remember…you’ll fit in here.

Big builders build volume. Some builders build custom.
Parkwood builds both — custom homes, with a process that keeps projects moving and quality high.

If you’re the kind of supervisor who:

  • hates rework more than early mornings
  • can keep trades moving without turning the site into a soap opera
  • cares about the details because you know that’s what customers remember

…you’ll fit in here.

Who We Are

Parkwood Master Builder is a family-owned, Edmonton-based home builder specializing in single-family homes and multi-family developments across Edmonton and surrounding areas. We build custom homes at scale — customers get meaningful choice and a home that fits their life, and we deliver it with a process that’s tight, collaborative, and quality-driven.

The Role

As a Site Supervisor, you own the day-to-day delivery of multiple homes from start to finish. You’re the onsite leader making sure:

  • schedules hold
  • quality doesn’t slide
  • safety is non-negotiable
  • customers feel informed and supported
  • trades know what “good” looks like and hit it consistently

You’ll work closely with Operations, Design, Drafting, Estimating, Accounting, and our trade partners to keep projects moving and solve problems early.

What You’ll Do

Run the build

  • Lead daily site activity from excavation to possession and closeout
  • Coordinate trades, inspections, materials, and deliveries
  • Maintain clean, organized, professional sites

Own the plan

  • Build and maintain 4-week look-ahead schedules
  • Spot problems before they become delays (or change orders that shouldn’t exist)
  • Keep everyone aligned with clear expectations and timely updates

Protect quality

  • Drive QA/QC, document deficiencies, and get issues corrected fast
  • Hold trades accountable to Parkwood standards — respectfully, firmly, consistently
  • Reduce rework by catching issues early and keeping details tight

Support the customer experience

  • Conduct key customer meetings (pre-construction, framing, pre-possession, possession)
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers throughout the build
  • Manage post-possession deficiency items in a timely, customer-first way

Champion safety on site

  • Keep the job site safe, clean, and organized — and expect the same from everyone onsite
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with Alberta OH&S requirements and safe work practices
  • Address hazards and unsafe behaviour immediately and document/escalate when needed
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure the site is ready for safe access and work

Keep documentation clean

  • Complete daily reports, site logs, and online documentation accurately
  • Work with AP/AR on purchase orders, invoicing, and trade paperwork so the back office isn’t guessing
  • Coordinate with planning departments, permit authorities, and inspections as required

Who You Are

You don’t need to be the loudest person on site. You do need to be the one who can:

  • lead trades with clarity and consistency
  • stay organized while juggling multiple homes
  • solve problems without escalating everything into a crisis
  • hold the line on quality while keeping production moving
  • communicate in a way that customers understand and trust

What You Bring

Must-haves

  • Residential construction experience with site leadership responsibility
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of sequencing and trade coordination
  • Solid communication skills with trades, customers, and internal teams
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract (company vehicle required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Custom home experience
  • Site Manager or CET designation
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta building and safety codes
  • Experience with deficiency management and warranty processes

Why Parkwood

  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • Generous annual time off
  • A team that actually collaborates (Design, Drafting, Estimating, Ops — you won’t be on an island)
  • A builder that values quality and relationships, not just speed
  • A culture that works hard and still finds time for a good happy hour
